



VISION
Our society vision is to ensure children and youth have access to music learning opportunities that:
- reflect Inuit worldview through the Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit principles;
- support child and youth identity and well-being;
- recognize the inherent strengths of each individual and that build upon those
strengths for the good of the individual and the community;
- encourage, support and develop community youth music leadership

MUSIC LEARING & TEACHING
As Board Members and program instructors, we are passionate about music education for Nunavut children and youth and have seen the many benefits of music learning such as improved thinking, reading, reasoning, mental health and wellness, socialization and coping skills.

YOUTH MUSIC LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

An important component of our music programming is encouraging, supporting and mentoring community youth musicians to become music leaders ainstructors. We are committed to growing from within the communities and with in Nunavut to provide for music with and by Nunavumiut
HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHOICES THROUGH MUSIC

We have seen the positive benefits of music learning on healthy lifestyles and on mental health and overall well-being (Rebecchini, 2021 Oct 21). We are committed to ensuring children and youth have access to quality music programming centered in Inuit worldview, and created for and by Nunavumiut.
